Privacy Policy
Landscaping Calculators collects no personal information directly. Anonymous analytics are used to see which calculators get used, and they stay switched off until you accept them. Everything you type into a calculator is worked out in your browser and never sent anywhere.

The short version
This is a static website. The pages are plain HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript that runs on your device. There is no database, no user account and no contact form, so there is no mechanism by which the site could collect personal details even if it wanted to.
The one third-party service is Google Analytics, which is blocked until you accept it and is covered in detail below.
What the calculators do with your numbers
Nothing leaves your browser. Every calculation on this site runs locally in JavaScript. The dimensions, prices, lawn sizes and body weight you enter are held in the page’s memory while you use it and are discarded the moment you close or reload the tab.
This is true regardless of what you choose about cookies. Your measurements are never transmitted, never logged and never included in any analytics event. It is a property of how the calculators are built, not a setting.
The one exception is the copy button on each result, which writes a single line of text to your system clipboard when you press it. That is a deliberate action by you, the text goes only to your own clipboard, and the site never reads the clipboard back.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which calculators are used. It runs under Google Consent Mode with every signal denied by default, so no cookie is written and no measurement is recorded until you press Accept on the banner.
What it records is aggregate and anonymous: pages viewed, approximate region, browser and device type, and how long a visit lasted. It cannot identify you, and it never receives anything you typed into a calculator.
Declining costs you nothing. Every calculator works identically either way, and you can change your mind from the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page. The cookie policy lists every cookie by name and explains exactly what accepting switches on.
Third-party services
Google Analytics loads from Google’s servers. Once you accept, Google receives your IP address and the pages you view, and handles that data under its own privacy policy rather than this one.
Nothing else is loaded from another domain. There are no external fonts, no hosted script libraries, no embedded videos, no social media widgets and no comment system. If advertising is ever added, this page will say so before it appears.
Server logs
The one thing outside our control is the web host. Like essentially every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps standard access logs, which typically record your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user agent string.
These logs exist for security and reliability rather than analysis. They are not used to build a profile of you, they are not combined with anything else, and they are not sold or shared. Retention is set by the hosting provider rather than by us.
We mention this because a privacy policy claiming a site collects literally nothing would be inaccurate. Server logs are a property of how the web works, not a choice this site has made.
Children
This site is aimed at people buying landscaping materials. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Your rights
Data protection laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete and port the personal data a company holds about you. Those rights are difficult to exercise here for a simple reason: we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to retrieve, amend or erase.
Analytics data is aggregate and anonymous, so it cannot be traced back to you either. If you would rather it was never collected in the first place, decline on the banner or use the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
Changes to this policy
If the site ever adds advertising or any other third-party service, this page will be updated before that happens and the date at the top will change. We would rather tell you plainly than quietly alter what the site does.
