Terms of Use
Short version: the calculators are free, you can use the results on any job including paid work, and the figures come with no warranty. The longer version is below, written to be read rather than skipped.

Using the site
By using Landscaping Calculators you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. There is no account to create, nothing to sign and no subscription, so using a calculator is the whole of the agreement.
The site is free and we intend to keep it that way. We may change, add or remove calculators at any time, and we may take the site offline without notice. Nothing here is a promise that a particular page will stay available.
What you may do with the results
Use them for anything. Plan your own project, price a job for a client, put the figures into a quotation, or work from them on site. Contractors and landscapers are welcome here, and using a result commercially costs nothing and needs no permission.
You do not need to credit us for a number, though a link is always appreciated if you reproduce a chart or table somewhere public.
What you may not do
Do not copy the site wholesale. The written guidance, the reference tables, the page structure and the calculator code are ours, and republishing them as your own content is not permitted. Quoting a figure with a link is fine; lifting a page is not.
Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people, attempt to interfere with how it works, or present it as your own service. Automated wholesale copying for the purpose of training or republishing content is not permitted.
Accuracy and warranty
The site is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We take care over the arithmetic and use published typical values for material densities and rates, but we do not warrant that any figure is accurate, current or suitable for your project. The disclaimer explains in detail why bulk material quantities vary and what to check before ordering.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Landscaping Calculators and anyone involved in producing it will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything in it. That includes material ordered in the wrong quantity, delivery charges, wasted labor, delay, lost profit or consequential loss of any kind.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions of liability, in which case the exclusions above apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.
Links to other sites
Where we link out, we do so because we think the destination is useful. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data, and a link is not an endorsement of anything they sell.
Privacy
The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and collects no personal information. Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser. The privacy policy sets out the detail, including the one thing outside our control, which is standard server logging by the host.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, the date at the top of this page changes, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised version. We will not make a material change quietly.
